The Tasmania Fire Service is proud to have secured funding to renovate the water tanks, previously owned by Hydro Tasmania, and prepare these to be used for firefighting purposes this summer. This initiative, lead by the District Officer for the Midlands, Jason Vinen, will support the brigade in being better able to defend the properties in the local area. The project will also see the installation of signage for community education purposes.  The event included talks from Tasmania Fire Service representatives, a community BBQ, and trade stalls from Bushfire Ready Neighbourhoods and Red Hot Tips!
